Located outside of Fall City, Washington, this equestrian estate was conceived of as a breeding and dressage facility. The master planning of the 20 acre site took into account the views of the facilities from the owners recently constructed new home, utilization and improvement of existing pastures and loafing sheds. Efficient and safe circulation of horses, visitors, vehicles and deliveries were all considered while maintaining a sense of elegance upon arrival.

The intention for the design was to create a space that was familiar in its traditional form, but elevated by the sophistication of the framing detailing and simplicity of the material palette that fits seamlessly among the lush green hills that surround the property. The barn features ten large stalls with paddocks plus an oversized foaling stall, three grooming bays, and a wash stall adjacent to a large tack room with lounge. A generous hay loft offers an abundance of natural light and ventilation for the stables below.
